PISA (Psychosocial/psychoeducational Intervention for persons with recurrent Suicide Attempts) is a program out of St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. Steer-headed by Yvonne Bergmans, this group has been shown to help those struggling with suicide thoughts become better able to cope. The same program has since begun in the Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario area and is known there as Skills for Safer Living. If you are looking for such a group as an individual in need, or as a service provider, it is worth checking out.
